There is no doubt that the Xbox 360 is drawing close to its end of life cycle. Don’t get us wrong, the system probably still has a good few years left in it, but there isn’t too much more Microsoft can do in terms of hardware; the Kinect was probably the last big push. So we weren’t too surprised when Microsoft announced these chrome finished Xbox 360 controllers yesterday.
All three colors (metallic blue, red and silver) will feature their transformative D-pad, which when twisted can become a standard issued d-pad (4 way control) or a disc based d-pad with a wider degree of control. Microsoft says that the Chrome Xbox 360 Controllers will arrive this May for about $55.
